This edition of Golfalgarve is very special to all of us at Golfocus. It marks our 5th anniversary and a benchmark of 25 successful issues, which demonstrates a great sense of resilience and commitment to servicing golfers and Tourism on the Algarve.

Edition number 25 after 5 years also represents a tribute to all of those who have supported this project from the on start; from the golf courses to the hotels, restaurants, bars, real estate companies and many more. Without their advertising and demonstrated sound marketing strategies, Golfalgarve magazine could not have been in a position to provide such an important promotion to the golf market and to Tourism as a whole. To all, our sincere thank you.

For the 4th year running, the Portugal Masters is once more being played at Oceânico Victoria Golf Course. Even with less prize money available, the top guns are back. We are certain that the spectacle that this prestigious tournament brings to the Algarve, will continue to put this magnificent destination on the map of golfers when travelling.

For 2012, Golfalgarve magazine will be making some major changes in its approach.

Our new website www.golfocus.com is becoming more of a consideration in our service to golfers and is well in tune with the new realities of the market place. Besides being a great tool to all golfers and those who want to promote their services, Golfalgarve magazine will serve as a promotion vehicle to the website and vice-versa.

Periodically, Golfocus also sends a newsletter to approximately 10.000 of our readers and partners, so that it reinforces our position in the golf industry and it promotes our regular golf tournaments, such as the Golfalgarve League, the Nations Cup, UK vs The World, Portugal and Spain vs UK and Ireland and many more.
